Unveiling the Musical Journey of DJ & Producer Syost: From Guitarist to Master of Organic House

We had the pleasure of catching up with the incredibly talented DJ and producer Syost to delve into his music career. Read on to discover more about his journey in the industry.

Syost is a music aficionado, producer, DJ, and live hybrid artist. Drawing inspiration from Tulum, Ibiza, and New York, he has crafted his distinctive style of Organic House music infused with elements of Deep House, Oriental melodies, and Afro-Tribal beats.

His musical expedition commenced during his youth as a guitarist in a funk, blues, and rock band. This paved the way for his second love, electronic music, and sparked the idea of merging electronic sounds with live instruments. This fusion allowed Syost to channel his creative passion for both styles.

Having attended the renowned music producer Academy in Zurich, Syost has since been granted the freedom to explore his musical creativity, blending his guitar craftsmanship from earlier times with his electrifying tracks.

Describing his music style, Syost encapsulates it as Organic House music with a captivating blend of Deep House, Oriental influences, and Afro-Tribal rhythms.

When it comes to inspiration, Syost credits the DJ Duo Bedouin as a significant driving force. He first witnessed their awe-inspiring performance in New York in 2018, and since then, he has been deeply moved by their unique musicality.

In terms of societal impact, Syost believes that music knows no boundaries and has the power to connect people from all walks of life. It serves as a catalyst for building genuine and lasting friendships.

Regarding his creative process, Syost finds himself most invigorated during the nighttime. However, music fuels his power and motivation at any time of the day.

Syost derives his primary influences from Bedouin, Woomoon Tulum, and over a decade of immersing himself in the vibrant music scene of Ibiza. Additionally, he draws inspiration from esteemed artists such as Solidmind, Fake Mood, Black Coffee, Stan Kolev, Jean Vayat, El Mundo, Maga, Sabo, Goldcap, Shai T, and many others.

As a musician, the biggest challenge for Syost lies in finding enough time to complete all the music projects he envisions.

Thus far, Syost has experienced several notable career highlights. These include an extraordinary sunrise concert at the Aletsch Glacier, situated 3000 meters above sea level and considered the longest glacier in Europe. Additionally, he performed at a day rave in the historic and renowned castle of Rapperswil, as well as his first gig at the illustrious electro club Friedas Büxe in Zurich.

His latest releases encompass the album “Goddess of Love” on Cafe De Anatolia, alongside the upcoming releases of “Away to the Ground” on Lump Records in May and an Afro House remix in collaboration with a South African label in June.

Syost holds a deep connection with Cafe De Anatolia, having been a fervent fan of the label for many years. He admires the vast collection of unique and beautiful tracks they have released and feels proud to have the opportunity to share his special tracks through their platform.

Excitingly, Syost is currently working on a special version of his recent Organic House track, “Love Transition,” in collaboration with a group called Mataora. This ensemble incorporates live instruments such as handpan and Spanish guitar, adding a touch of enchantment to the track.
