Stavros Zacharias is a Greek producer and songwriter with a lifelong obsession for exploring various music genres. His journey led him to delve into dark and atmospheric sounds, skillfully blending electronic and dark elements to create epic and contemporary compositions. Over the years, Stavros has collaborated with renowned Greek artists and released six full albums. His music consistently tops charts, reaching No. 1 on iTunes in Greece, Norway, South Africa, and the US. In addition, Stavros is a member of Nivo & Going Through, a successful rap group in Greece and beyond.
CDA Mag: What is your connection with Cafe De Anatolia? (write about your release with Cafe De Anatolia)
Stavros Zacharias: As a devoted listener and fan of Cafe De Anatolia, collaborating with them is a dream come true. I’ve eagerly awaited the right time to embark on this partnership, aiming to present a series of standout songs. I hope this collaboration lasts for many years to come. Our first track, “Luminosity,” is set for release on August 31st.
CDA Mag: What do you believe sets your music apart from others in the industry? What makes your sound unique?
Stavros Zacharias: I’ve dedicated extensive study to every genre of music I create, resulting in a distinctive sound that fuses ethnic and cinematic elements with darker undertones. This blend captivates listeners and sets my music apart in the industry.
CDA Mag: Collaboration is a crucial aspect of the music world. Have you collaborated with other artists, and if so, how has it influenced your musical direction?
Stavros Zacharias: I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with remarkable artists both within and outside Greece. Working with Nivo (Nikos Vourliotis), Isorropistis (Nikos Pavlidis), Michalis Papathanasiou, and Dimitris Kokotas has enriched my musical direction and opened up new creative possibilities.
CDA Mag: What’s your favorite part of being a musician? Is there a specific aspect of your career that brings you the most joy and fulfillment?
Stavros Zacharias: I find immense joy and fulfilment in the fact that my songs, as well as those I’ve written for others, have topped the iTunes charts and Billboard on multiple occasions. Achieving chart success in the US and other countries motivates me to keep working hard and creating meaningful music.
CDA Mag: Are you working on something new?
Stavros Zacharias: Apart from my songs for Cafe De Anatolia, I’m currently immersed in a major album project that fuses classical music with hip-hop. The ambitious project involves two symphony orchestras with 40 musicians from around the world and seven other artists, promising a unique musical experience.
