Tell us more about yourself & your music career.

I’ve been a DJ for about 20 years, and recently I’ve begun exploring music production. I’m a resident DJ at Body and Soul, one of Rio de Janeiro’s main labels, sharing stages with artists like Black Coffee, Artbat, Bedouin, Themba, Zakes Bantwini, Monolink, Adriatique, and more. On my international tours, I’ve played in Mumbai, Goa, Lisbon, Moscow, Zanzibar, Phuket, and Café del Mar. I recently returned from Spain, where I performed in the Canary Islands.

Write a short paragraph about your RELEASE (your inspiration, process, genre, instruments used, and the story behind its creation).
Nowadays, people are talking a lot about music with healing frequencies, and “Solaris” is a track born from merging the depth of handpan sounds with the high energy of electronic music. This synergy felt like a calling—my partner, who plays the handpan, and I wanted to express a unique identity in our first original collaboration.

Can you share a memorable moment from your music career that made a significant impact on your artistic journey?
I’ll never forget my debut at “All Day I Dream” in 2023 at Sugar Loaf in Rio de Janeiro, and at Soundtuary this year—both renowned labels. Performing on the huge “New Dance Order” stage at Rock in Rio was also unforgettable. And now, with the “Solaris” release, I’m thrilled for what’s next!

What do you believe sets your music apart from others in the industry? What makes your sound unique?
I’m able to connect with diverse audiences by adapting my sets without compromising my style. I often say I play music that I love, blending organic, disco, indie dance, afro, Latin house, and melodic sounds while staying true to my personality.

In your opinion, what is the most significant change the music industry has experienced in recent years, and how have you adapted to it?
Technology has brought both good and bad changes. On the positive side, equipment evolution allows for flawless performances, and social media connects us with fans. However, the fast pace of consumption makes music feel disposable. We all adapt, though at different speeds. Eventually, we adjust.

What is your connection with Cafe De Anatolia? (write about your release with Cafe De Anatolia)
It was a happy surprise to connect with CDA, as I’d been interested in their work for a long time. I resonate with the label’s purpose and love their focus on ethnic and expressive musical styles.
