Exclusive Interview with Denis (LIFT BLISS): From Inner Silence to “We Return”

Denis – LIFT BLISS

Can you introduce yourself to our audience?

Above all, my journey began with a deep love for music and its ability to express feelings that are often impossible to put into words. Electronic music, in particular, gives me the freedom to shape emotions through atmosphere, rhythm, and subtle movement.

Sound became a space where I could translate inner experiences—tension, hope, vulnerability, and release—into something tangible. The electronic genre felt natural to me because it offers endless possibilities for experimentation while still carrying deep emotional weight. For me, it’s not just about energy or structure, but about creating a journey where emotions can evolve and breathe.

What inspired you to pursue a career in electronic music?

From a very young age, I was drawn to questions about something bigger—about the meaning of life, purpose, and the feeling that we are not here by accident. Music became my way of exploring those questions and leaving a trace, even a small one, through sound.

Electronic music felt especially powerful because it allows me to build entire inner worlds where emotion, repetition, and atmosphere can communicate meaning beyond words. Everything I create needs intention and depth. Music, for me, is a space to reflect on existence, search for meaning, and share that sense of purpose with others.

How would you describe your style and sound?

My sound is built around melodies that touch hidden corners of the soul and carry meaning beyond the surface. I focus on emotional depth, immersive atmospheres, and subtle progression—creating music that invites listeners to feel, reflect, and lose themselves in the journey rather than simply follow a structure.

ABOUT THE RELEASE

Tell us about your latest release. What’s the story behind it?

The track “We Return,” released in early 2026, holds deep personal meaning for me. Created at the very beginning of my renewed artistic journey, the track is dedicated to my homeland and to the people fighting for the fate of their country.

I want my music to heal. This track was created to support those going through difficult moments—to remind us that we are not alone, and that even in darkness there is movement forward. If this music can bring comfort, strength, or inner calm to even one person, then it has fulfilled its purpose.

What message do you want listeners to take away from this release?

“We Return” is a deeply emotional piece about those who have lived through war—about sleepless nights where silence is replaced by sirens, about the loss of homes, loved ones, and a sense of safety.

But it is not about losing the inner voice that whispers: stay alive.
“We Return” is not about going back to the past.
It is about rising from pain, from ashes, and finding light even after everything has burned.

Can you walk us through the creative process behind this project?

The creative process was deeply internal. It began with personal pain, reflection, and the realization of my own limits. I was able to support my family and bring them to safety, but understanding that I couldn’t help everyone or stop what was happening created a heavy emotional weight.

Those feelings first turned into words—thoughts about helplessness, responsibility, and quiet strength—and only then into music. The sound naturally filled itself with tension, sorrow, and inner movement. I believe this project carries not only my own pain, but also the emotions of many people who feel the same way—searching for meaning and relief in a situation beyond their control.

For me, this music is emotional release and connection—a way to transform pain into something that can be shared and understood.

How does this release differ from your previous work?

This release stands apart from my usual work because it is driven entirely by emotion. It’s a sad house track—a style I don’t normally explore—created purely to express feelings rather than follow a specific genre framework.

INDUSTRY & PERSONAL INSIGHTS

What is the biggest challenge for electronic music artists today?

The biggest challenge today is being heard. With so much music released constantly, it’s difficult to reach listeners and build a genuine emotional connection.

What role do labels and collaborations play in your career? (Please mention Cafe De Anatolia)

Although I haven’t performed at Cafe De Anatolia events yet, collaborating with the label has already been an inspiring experience. I truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to exploring new projects, collaborations, and experiences together in the future.

What advice would you give to aspiring artists?

Create a lot of music and collaborate with other artists. This helps you find balance between your own voice and the musical world around you. Most importantly, stay true to your emotions—let your experiences, struggles, and reflections guide your sound. Music is not just about being heard; it’s about connecting, expressing, and leaving a meaningful trace.

LOOKING AHEAD

What can your fans expect next?

Fans can expect a deeper and more immersive sound in upcoming releases. My new music will explore emotions, love, groove, and the joy of dance. I plan to release consistently, letting listener feedback guide my artistic evolution.

Where can people connect with you online?

Fans can connect with me on Instagram and SoundCloud, where I share my music and creative projects. I’m also working on creating masks that I sometimes wear during performances and plan to give to my most engaged fans. So far, I’ve designed knitted masks, but I’m open to exploring new ideas and forms of expression.
