Marco Bartolucci: Elegance as a Musical Language

Marco Bartolucci

Can you introduce yourself to our audience?

My name is Marco Bartolucci. I am an Italian DJ and producer active since the mid-90s, mainly in the house and techno scene. I grew up musically inside some of the best clubs in central Italy. Later, I moved to Riccione, where I worked on important projects such as the Chlorophilla party at Villa delle Rose and Butterfly 161 at Peter Pan, both iconic clubs in the Italian dance music scene.

I also frequently work at Vivai Club in St. Moritz, where I collaborate with my great friend and colleague Massimo Gurini. Alongside my DJ career, I have developed a strong background as a producer, releasing music on labels such as Cube Recordings, Irma Dancefloor, Tony Records, HouseTribe Japan, The Cage Music, and Finish Team Records.

Recently, I released the track “Baila Conmigo” on Cube Trax and worked on several projects ranging from deep house to techno. At the moment, I am also working as A&R for Cube Trax, focusing on Afro House, Melodic House, and new emerging sounds.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music, specifically electronic music?

My inspiration comes from my passion for quality music of any kind. For me, music must always be elegant.

How would you describe your style and sound?

Elegance. That is the word that best represents my sound.

About the Release

Tell us about your latest release. What is the story behind it?

The track was born very naturally during an afternoon in the studio with my partner Giovanni Pannacci. As soon as we finished it, we immediately decided to send it to Cafe De Anatolia, because we felt it belonged to that world and that musical vision.

What message or feeling do you want listeners to take away from this release?

Well-being.

Can you walk us through the creative process behind this project?

The creative process is very simple for us. When we are in the studio, we follow our soul, letting it guide us in creating musical emotions naturally.

How does this release differ from your previous work?

I usually focus more on house music, so working on something slightly different from my usual style was very pleasant and exciting for me.

Industry and Personal Insights

What do you think is the biggest challenge for artists in the electronic music industry today?

Being able to create quality products that can truly excite the people who listen.

What role do collaborations and labels play in shaping your career?

Releasing this track on Cafe De Anatolia is a very important milestone for my career. It is an important label on the international scene, and it gave me the opportunity to express my sound and my artistic vision. I sincerely thank Cafe De Anatolia for this great opportunity.

Do you have any advice for aspiring artists?

Try to make quality music. The world is full of filth right now. Success may not come immediately, but quality always pays off.

Looking Ahead

What can your fans expect next?

I will definitely try to release more quality tracks on Cafe De Anatolia, and I am also thinking about working on an album.
