Mario Navajo & EYRIS

Can you introduce yourself to our audience?

Mario Navajo:
Hi, I’m Mario Navajo from Germany. My musical journey began in rap – for many years I wrote and performed lyrics as my first form of creative expression. Over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to melodic and atmospheric sounds.

Today, I work as a producer and vocalist in electronic music. My sound combines emotional vocals with deep, organic beats – music that invites you to dance while also moving you on an emotional level. Recently, I’ve been collaborating closely with EYRIS, and some of our strongest productions have come from this creative partnership. For me, music is a way to make emotions audible and take people on a journey.

EYRIS:
I’m EYRIS, also known as Famin in the techno scene, originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. My love for music began in 2022, inspired by house music, and that spark still drives everything I create today. I started producing with FL Studio, learning the fundamentals of production, before moving to Ableton, which feels more alive and dynamic for my creative process.

Through my work, I aim to capture the energy and emotion of electronic music while blending it with my own perspective. Collaborating with Mario Navajo has been an incredible experience, allowing us to merge our backgrounds and create something truly special.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music, specifically in electronic genres?

Mario Navajo:
Music has always been my outlet for expressing emotions – whether anger, joy, or longing. In rap, I learned the power of words, but at some point I wanted to create something with even more depth – something that communicates not only through lyrics but also through soundscapes.

Electronic music gave me that freedom: the ability to craft atmospheres that people can feel no matter what language they speak. The idea that a track can touch people anywhere in the world – on the dancefloor, during a drive, or in solitude – inspired me to fully commit to the genre.

EYRIS:
My inspiration came in 2022 when I discovered house music. I was immediately drawn to its energy and its ability to connect people. Starting with FL Studio, I experimented and learned the basics of production, and later moved to Ableton, which gave me the tools to fully express my creativity.

Electronic music became a way to channel my emotions, explore new sounds, and share experiences with listeners worldwide. The freedom to experiment and connect is what made me commit to this path.

How would you describe your style and sound?

Mario Navajo:
My sound is a fusion of deep, driving rhythms and delicate, emotive vocals. I like blending electronic beats with organic textures, creating tracks that have their own vivid atmosphere. Music for me is about more than movement – it’s about telling stories and evoking emotions.

What sets me apart is the balance between energy and intimacy. I use my voice as an instrument, crafting soundscapes that are hypnotic, melancholic, liberating, and spiritually resonant. For me, music is a journey that touches the soul and awakens awareness.

EYRIS:
My style is inspired by melodic techno and house, blending rhythmic energy with poetic melodies. I aim to express my emotions and poetic personality through layered, immersive soundscapes that lead listeners into reflective, almost spiritual spaces.

What distinguishes me is the ability to merge intensity with emotion – crafting tracks that are both powerful for the dancefloor and deeply resonant for the soul.

ABOUT YOUR RELEASE

Tell us about your latest release.

Mario Navajo:
Our latest release is called Another Life. I first built the beat and recorded the vocals, shaping the initial mood of the track. After collaborating with EYRIS on a few projects, I shared it with him, and we decided to refine it together.

The song is deeply personal for me, exploring themes of connection, destiny, and the idea that souls meet and reconnect across time. Working with EYRIS added layers of depth and texture, making the track feel alive and immersive.

EYRIS:
From the first moment, I felt the emotion Mario captured. Collaborating allowed us to add textures and layers that reflected both our identities. Another Life speaks to the idea that connections transcend time and distance. It’s a song that moves both the body and the soul.

What message or feeling do you want listeners to take away from this release?

Mario Navajo:
The track reflects the idea that our souls are eternally connected – that no farewell is ever truly final. I want listeners to feel hope, continuity, and the spiritual reassurance that bonds remain, even across time.

EYRIS:
For me, the message is about timeless connections and invisible threads linking people across experiences. I hope listeners find inner calm and reflection, while also feeling energized. It’s about embracing the cycles of life and love.

Can you walk us through the creative process behind this project?

Mario Navajo:
The foundation came quickly: a beat and vocals that set the emotional tone. Together, EYRIS and I refined it – experimenting with textures, rearranging elements, and even adding guitar layers for depth. Collaboration allowed the track to evolve into something richer and more immersive.

EYRIS:
When I joined the project, the focus was on enhancing textures and dynamics while preserving the emotional core. We experimented with effects and arrangements to build a hypnotic atmosphere. For me, the process was about merging our visions into one unified sound.

How does this release differ from your previous work?

Mario Navajo:
This track feels more intimate than anything I’ve done before. Collaborating with EYRIS pushed me into new emotional territory. Releasing it with Cafe De Anatolia makes it even more meaningful, as it aligns us with a global family of artists.

EYRIS:
This project is unique because of its depth and collaboration. It captures timelessness and connection in a way I haven’t explored before. Releasing it with Cafe De Anatolia allows us to reach listeners who value both energy and emotion.

INDUSTRY AND PERSONAL INSIGHTS

What do you think is the biggest challenge for artists in the electronic music industry today?

Mario Navajo:
The biggest challenge is standing out in a saturated market. Technology makes production accessible, but it also floods the scene with content. The key is to remain authentic while still reaching audiences.

EYRIS:
For me, the challenge is staying original while keeping up with a fast-evolving scene. Thousands of tracks drop daily, so it’s important to trust your instincts and create music that is unique and deeply resonant.

What role do events, collaborations, or labels play in shaping your career?

Mario Navajo:
Events, collaborations, and labels are vital. Working with Cafe De Anatolia is especially valuable, as they provide both a platform and a creative environment. Our collaboration with EYRIS is proof of how teamwork can create something greater than the sum of its parts.

EYRIS:
Events allow me to connect with listeners directly, while collaborations push me creatively. Working with Mario and releasing with Cafe De Anatolia has been transformative, giving us exposure and artistic support.

Do you have any advice for aspiring artists looking to break into the scene?

Mario Navajo:
Stay authentic. Don’t chase trends. Take risks, experiment, and connect with other artists. Collaborations and networking can open doors and accelerate growth.

EYRIS:
Trust your instincts and embrace experimentation. Stay patient, consistent, and focus on building a sound that represents you. Collaboration and community are just as important as solo work.

We’re working intensively on new collaborations and have multiple tracks lined up for release in the coming months. Listeners can expect evolving sounds, deeper emotions, and exciting projects that push our creativity forward.
