Tell us more about yourself & your music career.
I’ve always been drawn to music, and it’s been a constant companion throughout my life. Growing up in Egypt, I was exposed to a rich tapestry of sounds, from traditional Arabic music to Western influences. This diverse musical landscape shaped my taste and inspired me to start experimenting with DJing at the age of 14. By 18, I was producing my own music, eager to further explore my musical ideas. I’m incredibly grateful to have reached a point where I can work and perform alongside some of the most respected artists in the scene.
Describe how music is important to society.
Music has been an intrinsic part of the human experience since time immemorial. It’s a universal language that transcends cultural, linguistic, and geographical boundaries. At its core, music is a powerful tool that directly interacts with our psychological and emotional landscapes. Whether it’s the cathartic release of hard rock, the relaxation of classical music, or the trance-like euphoria of deep house, music has the power to evoke emotion, unify people, and provide solace.
Write a short paragraph about your RELEASE (your inspiration, process, genre, instruments used in it, and the story behind the creation)?
“Tany Leh” is a playful flirtation with the Nile River, imagined as a captivating woman. Inspired by the river’s enduring allure and Egypt’s rich musical heritage, I created this song as a contemporary twist on traditional Arabic sounds. The rhythmic drive of the doumbek forms the heartbeat of the piece, while the lyrics weave a tale of longing and desire. I aimed to capture the Nile’s mysterious charm, inviting listeners to lose themselves in this aquatic fantasy.
What is your connection with Cafe De Anatolia? (write about your release with Cafe De Anatolia)?
Cafe De Anatolia has been an incredible platform for my music to reach a wider audience. Their dedication to showcasing diverse soundscapes aligned perfectly with my artistic vision. Collaborating with them on my latest release was a truly inspiring experience. The team’s passion for music and their keen understanding of my artistic direction created a fertile ground for creativity to flourish. Their support and guidance throughout the process were invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Cafe De Anatolia family.
As an artist, how do you approach the creative process? Do you have any specific rituals or methods to get into the creative mindset?
It’s about peeling back layers of perception to uncover the raw materials of the soul. I don’t approach it with a rigid method, but rather with a curious and open mind. It’s about allowing myself to be deeply affected by the world around me—the emotions, the sights, the sounds—and letting them simmer within. I find that a clear, peaceful headspace is essential for this process. It’s in these quiet moments that connections are made, and ideas begin to take shape. There’s no rush; the goal is to let the creative process unfold naturally, respecting its own rhythm.
What do you believe sets your music apart from others in the industry? What makes your sound unique?
It’s a fusion of the familiar and the unexpected, a collision of genres that creates a wholly new experience. I draw inspiration from the world around me, from the ancient to the futuristic, and distill it into something raw and authentic. My sound is a sonic journey, an invitation to explore uncharted territories of the mind. It’s about pushing boundaries, challenging expectations, and creating music that resonates on a primal level. Every artist refracts life’s experiences into their own distinct hue, and that diversity is what makes the music world such a vibrant place.
