Lana Del Rey’s Country Album The Right Person Will Stay Coming May 2025

Lana Del Rey’s long-anticipated country album finally has a title and release date. The Right Person Will Stay, a 13-track project featuring collaborations with Jack Antonoff, Luke Laird, Drew Erickson, and her sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant, is set to drop on May 21, 2025, via Interscope Records.

A Genre Shift With Familiar Faces

In an Instagram post yesterday (Nov. 25), Del Rey shared her excitement about the upcoming album, saying, “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, and Drew Erickson, amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach.”

This marks a distinct turn for Del Rey, diving into the country-leaning soundscape while maintaining her signature poetic lyricism. Collaborators Antonoff and Erickson are familiar contributors, having worked on her critically acclaimed 2023 album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Meanwhile, Luke Laird, a powerhouse in country music with credits for Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church, and Tim McGraw, adds a fresh dynamic to Del Rey’s musical evolution.

First Single and Stagecoach Connection

Del Rey hinted that a track titled “Henry” could be the first single from the album, though no official release date has been provided. Fans may also get a preview during Stagecoach, the country music festival happening in late April on the Coachella grounds in Indio, California.

A Busy 2025 for Lana

In addition to the album release, Del Rey has announced an extended tour with stadium performances across the U.K. and Ireland. The tour kicks off on June 23, 2025, in Cardiff, Wales, adding to what promises to be a monumental year for the artist.

A Country Era to Remember

With its heartfelt title and a blend of prominent collaborators from both pop and country, The Right Person Will Stay is shaping up to be another boundary-pushing project for Lana Del Rey. Fans can mark their calendars for May 21, ready to embrace the latest chapter of her ever-evolving artistry.
