RAW ORDIO – Brett Gadenne
Can you introduce yourself to our audience?
My name is Brett Gadenne (otherwise known as the Australian producer Raw Ordio). For more than two decades, I’ve been exploring the meeting point between organic instrumentation and electronic music. After years of touring internationally as the creative force behind the live electronic act Raw Ordio and the acclaimed world music project Dubarray, my sound has evolved into a deeply emotive blend of melodic, organic and Afro-inspired house.
Drawing from a lifetime immersed in rock, jazz, funk and world music, I like to approach production as a storyteller rather than simply a beat maker. Each record is built around atmosphere, emotion and human connection—layering warm percussion, organic textures, cinematic melodies and soulful vocals into music designed as much for sunrise moments as it is for the dancefloor.
Inspired by travel, nature and the transformative power of music, the Raw Ordio project invites listeners into a journey where ancient rhythm meets modern electronic expression. My work reflects a belief that music can move both body and spirit, creating moments of presence, celebration and collective connection.
Now joining the Cafe De Anatolia family, I’m looking forward to exploring the deeper side of house music, delivering timeless productions that resonate with listeners seeking beauty, groove and emotional depth.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music, specifically in electronic genres?
I’ve been writing and performing music across different genres for around 20 years, but it was 10 years ago that I found a passion for creating electronic music, and only 6 years ago that I truly fell in love with making house music through Raw Ordio. Coming from a background in performing with bands, I still love having live elements as part of the Raw Ordio experience.
Music has always been more than entertainment for me; it has been a way to create meaningful human connection. My journey has taken me from producing music and performing internationally with the live electronic act Raw Ordio to producing immersive festivals and transformational experiences that bring thousands of people together through music, art and community. These experiences have shaped my belief that electronic music has the power to unite people, inspire emotion and create moments that stay with us long after the final note ends.
What continues to inspire me is the limitless creative freedom of electronic music. Through Raw Ordio, I get to blend live instrumentation, organic percussion, soulful vocals and modern production into performances that blur the line between a concert, a dancefloor and a shared experience. As both an artist and festival producer, my passion lies in creating environments where music becomes a catalyst for celebration, connection and transformation.
I aim to implement that philosophy into every production I release. I like to combine melodic house, organic textures and Afro-inspired rhythms into records that are equally at home on festival stages, sunset gatherings and intimate listening spaces, inviting audiences around the world to connect through movement, emotion and sound.round the world to connect through movement, emotion, and sound.
How would you describe your style and sound?

(What sets you apart as an artist?)
Raw Ordio’s sound is a seamless fusion of melodic house, organic rhythms and Afro-inspired grooves, crafted to evoke emotion as much as movement. Rooted in warm percussion, deep rolling basslines, cinematic textures and soulful vocal elements, each production is designed as a journey—building gradually with intention and creating space for both introspection and celebration.
Drawing inspiration from the energy of nature, tribal rhythms and the richness of live instrumentation, Raw Ordio blends electronic production with organic musicality to create a sound that feels timeless and deeply human. Influences from world music, melodic house and downtempo electronica intertwine to produce immersive soundscapes that resonate from golden-hour sunsets and beach gatherings to conscious festivals and intimate dancefloors.
A signature element of Raw Ordio’s sound is reimagining timeless classics through a modern organic house lens. By respectfully weaving familiar melodies, iconic vocals and nostalgic moments into fresh, groove-driven productions, I create an instant sense of connection that bridges generations. It’s a way of honouring the music that shaped us while giving it new life—inviting listeners to rediscover songs they love through the immersive rhythms and emotional depth of today’s electronic sound.
ABOUT YOUR RELEASE
Tell us about your latest release.
“Far Away” was born from the idea that no matter how distant we may feel—from a place, a person or even a version of ourselves—there is always a path back through music. The track began as a melodic sketch built around warm organic rhythms and uplifting chords, capturing the feeling of chasing a horizon that’s always just out of reach. When Pico’s unmistakable voice entered the record, it brought a sense of hope and humanity that transformed the song into something much deeper than a dance track.
For me as the producer behind Raw Ordio, “Far Away” reflects the moments spent travelling, performing and creating experiences that connect people from different cultures through music. Featuring Pico, whose own journey has been deeply rooted in building community through festivals and live performance, the collaboration became a natural meeting of creative minds. Together, we crafted a record that celebrates freedom, connection and the shared human desire to explore, belong and keep moving forward.
“Far Away” is an invitation to lose yourself in the rhythm, reconnect with your spirit and remember that sometimes the greatest journeys begin when we allow ourselves to drift a little beyond the familiar.
What message or feeling do you want listeners to take away from this release?
With “Far Away,” Raw Ordio hopes listeners leave with a sense of freedom, optimism and connection. The track is an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life, embrace the present moment and let music become a vehicle for movement, reflection and joy.
Beneath its uplifting groove is a simple reminder that, regardless of where we come from or where life takes us, music has the power to bring us together. Whether experienced on a festival dancefloor, during a sunset drive or through a pair of headphones, “Far Away” is about celebrating the journey, reconnecting with yourself and finding beauty in the spaces between where you are and where you’re going.
Can you walk us through the creative process behind this project?
The creative process behind “Far Away” began when Pico shared a beautiful vocal and piano hook that immediately resonated with me. There was something honest and uplifting about the idea, and rather than trying to reshape it, I chose to build the entire production around its emotion.
Layer by layer, I built warm organic percussion, melodic synths and atmospheric textures that complemented the vocal while allowing its message to remain at the heart of the record.
From the beginning, the goal was to create a track that felt both intimate and expansive—something that could connect just as powerfully on a festival dancefloor as it could during a quiet sunset moment. The result is a collaboration where Pico’s heartfelt songwriting and my signature organic house production come together to create a record that feels timeless, uplifting and deeply human.
How does this release differ from your previous work?
“Far Away” represents a natural evolution of the Raw Ordio sound. While previous releases have explored uplifting house music and live electronic energy, this record leans further into melodic storytelling, organic textures and emotional depth.
Rather than building the track around a club-driven hook, the production was shaped around Pico’s vocal and piano performance, allowing the song to breathe and develop with a stronger focus on feeling and musicality.
It also marks a deeper exploration into the organic house space that I’ve become increasingly passionate about. The combination of live-inspired percussion, atmospheric sound design and soulful vocals creates a more immersive listening experience while still retaining the groove that Raw Ordio is known for.
“Far Away” feels less like a standalone dance track and more like a soundtrack to a journey—one that reflects where Raw Ordio is heading creatively and the kind of music I want Raw Ordio to be known for moving forward.
INDUSTRY AND PERSONAL INSIGHTS
What do you think is the biggest challenge for artists in the electronic music industry today?
One of the biggest challenges for electronic artists today is cutting through the sheer volume of music being released while staying true to their own creative identity. With thousands of new tracks uploaded every day, it’s easy to feel pressure to chase trends or produce music that fits the latest algorithm rather than creating something authentic.
For me, the most meaningful music comes from having a clear artistic vision and allowing that to guide every release. Building a genuine connection with listeners takes time, consistency and patience, but those connections tend to last much longer than any short-lived trend.
I believe audiences are increasingly looking for music with emotion, purpose and authenticity—records that tell a story and make them feel something. That’s the direction I want Raw Ordio to continue pursuing, creating music that resonates beyond the dancefloor and leaves a lasting impression.
What role do events, collaborations, or labels play in shaping your career?
Events, collaborations and labels have each played an important role in shaping my journey as an artist. Performing at festivals and creating immersive experiences has given me a unique perspective on how music connects people in real time, influencing the way I write and produce in the studio.
Collaborating with other artists has also been one of the most rewarding parts of the process, as every collaboration brings new ideas, different musical influences and creative growth.
Working with Cafe De Anatolia is a milestone that feels like a natural fit for where Raw Ordio is heading creatively. Their commitment to organic, melodic and culturally inspired electronic music aligns closely with the direction I’ve been developing over recent years.
It’s exciting to partner with a label that values emotion, storytelling and authenticity as much as the music itself. I hope this is the beginning of a long-term relationship, sharing music that resonates with listeners around the world and contributing to the incredible global community that Cafe De Anatolia has built.
Do you have any advice for aspiring artists looking to break into the scene?
I’d say stop worrying so much about trying to make the next hit and focus on making music that actually means something to you. Trends come and go, but if you develop your own sound and stay true to it, people will connect with that over time.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and every track you finish teaches you something that makes the next one better.
I’ve also learnt that this industry is built on relationships. Be a good person, support other artists, collaborate whenever you can and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Some of my best opportunities have come from simply building genuine connections with people who share the same passion for music.
Most importantly, enjoy the process. It’s easy to get caught up chasing streams, followers and charts, but the real reward is creating music that moves people.
If you can stay passionate, keep improving your craft and remain patient, the rest has a way of falling into place.
LOOKING AHEAD
What can your fans expect next?
There’s a lot happening over the coming months, and it feels like Raw Ordio is entering an exciting new chapter.
Musically, I’m continuing to lean further into the organic and melodic house space, with several new collaborations and original releases already in the pipeline. Working with Cafe De Anatolia on “Far Away” has only strengthened that direction, and I’m looking forward to sharing more music that blends emotion, groove and organic textures.
On the live side, Raw Ordio will be taking this new sound on tour across Australia, bringing our immersive live experience to festivals, clubs and unique outdoor venues. At the heart of every show is the same goal—to create a shared experience where people can switch off from everyday life, connect with each other and simply enjoy the moment.
Beyond the music, I’m also continuing to produce festivals and transformational events that celebrate community, creativity and wellbeing.
Whether it’s through a new release, a live performance or an unforgettable event, my focus is always the same: creating experiences that leave people feeling inspired, connected and wanting more.
