Harol Lainez
Can you introduce yourself to our audience?
Hi, I’m Harol Lainez.
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing piano, drums, guitar, and singing in a band from the age of 12 through 21. After stepping away to focus on school and career, I rediscovered my passion for music in 2019 while traveling the world and experiencing electronic music through different cultures.
That journey reignited my creative spark. I began DJing at local venues in Phoenix, which naturally evolved into producing my own tracks. Today, I create a blend of Afro, melodic, and ancestral/tribal rhythms — music that feels both heartfelt and euphoric. I’m especially drawn to Afro House for its rich percussion, tribal roots, and soulful storytelling.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music, specifically in electronic genres?
Being a world traveler and living a nomadic lifestyle opened my mind in new ways. I wanted to create something of my own — something that captured the energy, emotions, and cultural experiences from my travels. Electronic music was completely new to me at the time, but it connected to a deeper part of my creativity. These sounds stimulate the mind differently; they make you feel, move, and connect on another level.
How would you describe your style and sound? What sets you apart as an artist?
I like to blend the energy of Afro House, Ethnic House, and Indie House to create soulful, emotional songs. I have a natural ear for deep listening — for textures and sounds that move you on a deeper level. My music is born from curiosity and a desire to explore the unexpected. I love experimenting with unconventional elements, weaving emotion and rhythm into something that feels both familiar and new.
ABOUT YOUR RELEASE
Tell us about your latest release. What’s the story behind it?
The story begins with big cinematic drums fading in and filling the room — I love dramatic intros that slowly evolve. The inspiration for Pathway came from my life in Tulum, where I currently reside. Getting here was not an easy journey, and Pathway became the first track I produced while living in the Mayan jungle.
The track tells a story of tribal passage, combining chanting backing vocals, heavy percussion, and dark distorted synths to create a powerful, cinematic expression of transformation.

What message or feeling do you want listeners to take away from this release?
I want people to feel strong, grounded, and inspired to create their own Pathway — whatever that means in their life.
Can you walk us through the creative process behind this project?
I usually begin with heavy drums and percussive elements. From there, I blend in ethnic vocals and rhythmic arps to create a melancholic Afro groove. Each layer adds emotion and movement until the track feels like a story.
How does this release differ from your previous work?
I’ve been producing for two years now, and I’ve grown significantly through constant self-development. This track is a testament to the skills I’ve refined and the direction I’m stepping into as an artist.
INDUSTRY & PERSONAL INSIGHTS
What do you think is the biggest challenge for artists in the electronic music industry today?
Social media can be a huge distraction. It’s important to stay focused on the music, because that is what truly matters in the long run.
What role do events, collaborations, or labels play in shaping your career?
Releasing with Cafe De Anatolia played a meaningful role in my journey. Getting my sound recognized within the Afro and melodic electronic scene was an important milestone, and working with CDE opened doors to connect with new artists and collaborate with like-minded creators. It helped solidify my direction as an artist.
Do you have any advice for aspiring artists looking to break into the scene?
Make music out of passion, not profit. Stay true to your sound, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to share your art with the world.
LOOKING AHEAD
What can your fans expect next?
I’m currently working on new tracks scheduled for release later this year and into early 2026. And on a personal note, I’m also excited to focus on becoming a dad this December — a new chapter that inspires me even more.
