Can you introduce yourself to our audience?
My name is Morgan Chapron, known by my stage name NOPRA. I’m from Caen, France, and I evolve in the electronic music scene with an identity shaped by afro house, tech house, and deep house influences.
My journey started behind the decks, driven by the desire to share energy and create a strong connection with the crowd. Very quickly, local stages allowed me to develop my musical universe, refine my selections, and gradually build my artistic identity.
Through experiences in clubs and events, producing my own music became a natural next step. Today, I aim to create music that truly reflects who I am, with warm, percussive influences and a constant search for emotion through groove.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music, specifically in electronic genres?
What pushed me to pursue music is, above all, the energy it creates between people. From an early stage, I was drawn to the power music has to bring people together, make them travel, and create memorable moments.
Electronic music came naturally to me because it offers immense freedom in creation, as well as the ability to build an atmosphere while generating a real reaction from listeners.
Afro house, tech house, and deep house particularly resonate with me because they combine groove, emotion, and intensity with a strong sonic identity. This balance is what I aim to express today through both my DJ sets and my productions.

How would you describe your style and sound?
I would describe my style as strongly influenced by afro house, tech house, and deep house.
I like to build atmospheres that evolve progressively, with percussive rhythms, strong basslines, and melodic elements that create a real connection with the listener.
What makes me different as an artist is my desire to keep a warm and dynamic identity while constantly seeking a balance between impact on the crowd and musical sensitivity. In both my DJ sets and productions, I aim to transmit sincere energy and a recognizable sound signature.
ABOUT YOUR RELEASE
Tell us about your latest release.
My latest release is built around the idea of attraction, emotional connection, and the energy that can exist between two people.
The inspiration came from wanting to create a track that feels both intimate and powerful, with a hypnotic groove, warm rhythms, and a vocal atmosphere that naturally draws the listener in.
I wanted the track to carry a sensual and immersive feeling while staying dancefloor-oriented through afro house influences, percussive elements, and progressive energy. It reflects the balance I like to explore between emotion, movement, and musical intensity.
What message or feeling do you want listeners to take away from this release?
With this release, I want listeners to feel both connection and movement.
The idea is to create a track that can naturally transmit emotion while also bringing energy to the dancefloor. I want people to feel carried by the groove, the rhythm, and the atmosphere while leaving space for their own interpretation of the track.
More than a message, I want this release to create a moment — something immersive, warm, and memorable that people can truly feel when they listen to it.
Can you walk us through the creative process behind this project?
I first focused on finding the right atmosphere through drums, percussion, and basslines, because rhythm is always a key element in the way I approach a track. From there, I worked on melodic elements and vocal textures to create something progressive and immersive.
The goal was to keep a balance between energy and emotion, making sure the track could work both in a club environment and through personal listening.
How does this release differ from your previous work?
Compared to my earlier tracks, this project feels more mature in the way the elements interact together, while still keeping the energy and musical identity that represent me as an artist.
INDUSTRY AND PERSONAL INSIGHTS
What do you think is the biggest challenge for artists in the electronic music industry today?
I think one of the biggest challenges for artists in the electronic music industry today is staying authentic while standing out in a very fast-moving environment.
There is a huge amount of music released every day, so beyond creating quality tracks, it is important to develop a clear identity and a sound that people can truly recognize.
Another challenge is finding the right balance between artistic vision and the expectations of the industry while continuing to evolve and remain consistent over time.
What role do events, collaborations, or labels play in shaping your career?
Events allow me to connect directly with people, test the energy of my music in real situations, and better understand what creates a strong reaction on the dancefloor.
Collaborations and labels are also essential because they open new perspectives, bring valuable exchanges, and help give more visibility to a project. My collaboration with Cafe De Anatolia is an important step for me, as it allows my music to be part of an internationally recognized platform within the organic and electronic music scene.
Together, these experiences help me grow, refine my identity, and move forward with a clearer artistic direction.
Do you have any advice for aspiring artists looking to break into the scene?
My advice for aspiring artists would be to stay patient, consistent, and focused on building their own identity.
It is important to take time to develop a sound that truly reflects who you are, rather than trying to follow every trend. Progress often comes through regular work, experimentation, and learning from each experience.
I also believe that sharing music, performing, connecting with people, and staying open to opportunities are essential steps to grow naturally within the scene.
LOOKING AHEAD
What can your fans expect next?
My fans can expect new music very soon, as I already have another track planned for release in the near future.
I’m currently focused on continuing to develop my sound and exploring new ideas that stay connected to my musical identity, with influences from afro house, tech house, and deep house.
There are also upcoming performances and new projects in progress, with the goal of sharing more music, more energy, and reaching new audiences through both releases and live experiences.
