Solomun has officially launched a new record label, Love Recycled, dedicated to reimagining classic tracks for today’s dance music scene. Inspired by his popular 2011 remix series of the same name, the label marks a bold new chapter in the global house music icon’s career.
A Nostalgic Revival with a Modern Twist
Originally introduced in 2011, Solomun’s Love Recycled series featured deep house reworks of timeless pop and R&B hits. The project debuted with reimagined versions of tracks like Michael McDonald’s 1982 hit “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near)”. These edits became instant favorites on dancefloors worldwide, blending nostalgia with modern club energy.
Now, 14 years later, Solomun is expanding that concept into a full-fledged label that will go beyond his own edits. According to the announcement, the goal is to create a space where world-class producers can breathe new life into timeless classics.
Debut Release: “Love Recycled 4” Drops June 27th
The label’s first release, titled “Love Recycled 4”, is scheduled to drop on Friday, June 27th. It features Solomun’s rework of Change’s 1980 disco track “Angel In My Pocket”, promising a blend of vintage soul and deep house grooves that have become synonymous with his sound.
“Now that Love Recycled has grown into its own label, the vision expands beyond Solomun himself,” says the label in an official statement. “A new wave of world-class artists will take part, continuing the mission of celebrating and reimagining the classics.”
This move positions Love Recycled as not just a tribute to the past, but as a forward-thinking platform for creative reinterpretation.
