Lutsenko Konstantin Olegovich, better known by his stage name Deep Tone, has been garnering attention in the electronic dance music scene with his distinctive music production and DJing style. With a career spanning over six years, Deep Tone has established himself as a prominent figure in the industry. In a recent interview, we had the opportunity to delve into his musical journey and gain insight into his inspirations, challenges, and achievements.
Deep Tone began his music career without any formal musical education, but that didn’t hinder his early success. His very first track in the Deep House genre broke into the music charts and received a warm reception from listeners, accumulating over 100k listens on Spotify to date. Eager to expand his skills and creativity, he subsequently studied music theory and learned to play the piano and electric guitar, further enhancing his musical prowess.
While Deep House and Melodic House are his primary genres, Deep Tone’s musical repertoire extends beyond these boundaries. He has ventured into experimenting with other electronic music genres, incorporating live ethnic instruments such as oud and flute in his oriental tracks. Collaborations have been an integral part of his journey, working with talented producers and vocalists from different countries. Notable collaborations include the track “Freedom” with Spanish vocalist Ruben Gauna, a collaboration with UK-based Gus One, and a captivating project with Ersin Ersavas, an exceptional oud player from Turkey.
Deep Tone’s tracks have gained significant exposure, with regular airplay on esteemed radio stations like NSB Radio (UK), Mi-House Radio, and House Radio. When asked about his musical style, Deep Tone emphasized the importance of striking a perfect balance between quality elements, such as a tight kick and deep bass, and soul-stirring melodies. He draws inspiration from a wide array of sources, often finding it in the tracks he admires and timeless hits from the pop synth artists of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
While being a musician brings immense joy and fulfillment, Deep Tone acknowledges that one of the most challenging aspects is learning to be less critical of his own work. However, his dedication and perseverance have paid off, with career highlights including a notable release on Cafe De Anatolia and a headlining performance at a local summer festival.
Deep Tone’s latest releases showcase his creative evolution. He recently released his first album, “Vision,” in collaboration with Katya Red. Additionally, he unveiled remixes of the track “Fly,” aptly titled “Leave Me” and “Every Time,” further solidifying his artistic versatility.
Deep Tone’s connection with Cafe De Anatolia began with his remix of DJ Phellix & Soudeh’s track “Delom.” He had aspired to work with the label for a considerable period, and his confidence in his work finally led him to offer his compositions to the label.
When asked about advice from fellow musicians, Deep Tone shared that he is currently focused on writing new material and has not received any specific advice yet. However, he had valuable words of encouragement for aspiring musicians: believe in yourself and remain steadfast in the face of any doubts or criticisms.
Deep Tone’s unique approach to music production and DJing continues to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression in the electronic dance music scene. With his unwavering passion and commitment to his craft, Deep Tone is poised for even greater achievements in the future.
