Calvin Harris Accuses Financial Advisor of Stealing $22.5 Million in Fraudulent Real Estate Scheme

Superstar DJ and producer Calvin Harris has accused his longtime financial advisor of stealing $22.5 million to fund what he calls a fraudulent real estate scheme in Los Angeles.

The Allegations

According to court filings at the Superior Court of California, Harris—whose real name is Adam Wiles—alleges that his former advisor Thomas St. John breached his trust and misused his money. St. John, referred to in legal documents as “TSJ,” worked with Harris for 13 years before their professional relationship ended in April 2025.

In a demand for arbitration, Harris claims that St. John and a group of associates convinced him to invest millions into a project known as the CMNTY Culture Campus. The supposed 460,000-square-foot development was promoted as a creative hub for musicians, engineers, and entertainers, complete with recording studios, lounges, and offices.

Instead, Harris argues the project was nothing more than a “boondoggle” designed to drain his wealth.

The $22.5 Million Investment

Court documents reveal that in 2023, St. John told Harris the project had run out of funds and urged him to step in. Harris agreed, contributing $22.5 million—$10 million as a loan and $12.5 million for equity.

However, Harris’ legal team says the loan was never repaid and the equity investment produced no results. Instead, they allege that St. John funneled $11.7 million into an LLC he controlled personally. The filing states that Harris has “not received a single penny” in return, nor has any construction begun.

The DJ’s lawyers also claim St. John misled Harris by sending documents with little to no explanation, calling them “materially misleading.”

St. John’s Response

St. John denies the allegations. In a statement through his attorney, Sasha Frid, he insisted there was no wrongdoing, suggesting that Harris is simply “unhappy with the pace of the project.”

Frid also claimed the development remains active and could reach a valuation of $900 million upon completion.

Current Legal Status

Harris and St. John have agreed to a temporary injunction freezing certain assets while arbitration continues. The case highlights the risks celebrities face when relying heavily on advisors to manage large fortunes.

Harris’ Personal Life

Away from the legal drama, Harris, 41, remains one of the world’s highest-earning DJs, with an estimated net worth of $300 million. In August 2025, he and his wife, BBC Radio 1 presenter Vick Hope, welcomed their first child.

The couple owns properties worldwide but are currently building a luxurious home in the Cotswolds, UK, where they plan to settle down. Reports suggest Harris spared no expense, ensuring privacy and exclusivity for his growing family.
