ABOUT THE RELEASE: I conceived the idea for producing “Lose Myself (I Fall)” one night at a desert event in California. Inspired by the beauty of my surroundings and interactions with unique people, I aimed to create a deep, groovy melodic techno song with captivating vocals for a magical evening. In the studio, my creative process typically starts with writing a melody and bassline. Often, I sing and record a melody on my cell phone, translating it into Ableton using a VST, as I did for this song.
CONNECTION WITH CAFE DE ANATOLIA: This marks my fourth release with Cafe De Anatolia, known for releasing beautiful and unique music. I always enjoy releasing music on this label, anticipating that people will love “Lose Myself (I Fall)” for its groove, beautiful melodies, and vocals. Cafe De Anatolia is highly professional and well-known in the electronic music scene. I am proud and happy to be part of the family, growing as a professional with them.
STAYING MOTIVATED AND INSPIRED: I stay motivated by considering that tomorrow is uncertain, and I must be strong, work hard, and pursue what I love. Success comes when you are obsessed with something, relentlessly working, learning, and enjoying the process.
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY: The significance of branding and marketing in social media has grown. I adapted by creating professional content on social media, promoting my brand on digital platforms, and hiring professionals to assist me.
ABOUT MARCOS ESBORRONDA: I’m Marcos Esborronda, 37, originally from Cádiz, Spain, now living in San Diego, California. I moved to the United States in 2014 for love; my wife is from the USA. I met her at my favorite beach in my hometown in 2006. I began DJing in 1999 with Break Beat and Nu-Skool Vinyls, popular genres in Southern Spain and the UK. I acquired my first turntables and mixer from money I received after a motorcycle accident. This event kickstarted my DJ career. Discovering House & Techno in 2002, I’ve been playing non-stop at clubs, raves, festivals, and private events. My passion for music comes from my father, a professional flamenco singer. I sometimes infuse flamenco vibes into my productions and performances, incorporating live percussions using an electric drum and live sampling.
STYLE OF MUSIC: I call my style ‘CADENCIA LEANDRO,’ a mix of Afro House, House, Tech House, Funky House, Melodic Techno, Techno, Break Beat, and Drum & Bass. My style is always energetic, unique, and connects well with the audience. I love human contact and always try to interact closely with people.
MUSIC’S IMPORTANCE TO SOCIETY: Like food, the world without music wouldn’t be the same. Music touches human souls uniquely and deeply, ingrained in every person.
INSPIRATION AND WORKING ON SOMETHING NEW: I find inspiration everywhere, keeping my eyes and ears open. For instance, I find inspiration in people’s conversations, surfing, at the gym, listening to new music, on social media, at a grocery store, at work, traveling, at events, sleeping, looking at the sky, watching movies, cooking, taking a shower, walking on the street, reading a book—inspiration is everywhere! I am constantly working on new music, events, and business opportunities. Producing electronic music and live performances make me happy, and soon it will be my full-time pursuit. I’ve already finished a special Afro House song sent to Cafe De Anatolia, and I have around 25 releases planned for 2024 and possibly more.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE: Enjoy the process. Music is a business. Marketing and branding on social media are crucial for a successful career. Be unique in some aspects and strive to bring something new and unique to the scene.
